In 2023, a record number of 960,000 babies were born in Uzbekistan, 3X and 5X more than in Poland and Ukraine, respectively. Poland and Ukraine experienced the lowest number of births on record. Meanwhile, the number of births across 20 countries in Eastern Europe dropped below 925,000, a historical low.
